What is wrong with what he wants to do?

Watching closely what he has done in the past year I can’t help wondering why such a huge segment of the population doesn’t like him.
The things he wants to do seem to be so good, so humane.
I wonder if it is because he was the first of his kind to make it to the top in so long.
He started nearly immediately upon his election to make the poor his priority, and even in his inauguration he made a strong appeal to the people to better protect the environment.
He has made it a priority to defend the weakest of our population, and he has included women and even Muslims in his appeal to the powers that be.
He almost immediately set up an advisory board to help him reform a troubled central administration.
In the past year he has spoken out against a heartless dictatorship – the economy.
He took steps to reform a banking system that has been a decades-old embarrassment to us all, and he punished those who flaunted riches amassed during that banking system’s money run.
He commemorated thousands of immigrants who died crossing borders,
He set up  commission of eight experts to advise him on economic affairs and how to improve transparency and enforce accounting principles.
As he traveled overseas huge crowds turned out to cheer him.
And he championed the rights of homosexuals to not be judged by the rest of us.
What about these things are bothering those of you who would have, or did, cast your preference in a different direction?
He convinced Vladimir Putin that military intervention in Syria would be futile,
He then told us that we must shake off an obsession with teachings on abortion, contraception and homosexuality and become more merciful in those situations.
He has spoken against the worship of money that has been a mainstay of capitalism and said it is time we strip ourselves of all “vanity, arrogance and pride” and serve the poor.
He pointed out plainly that huge salaries and bonuses are symptoms of an economy based on greed and inequality.
And he made a plea for equality for all religions, not just for Christians but even for  atheists.
What is it about these things that has good Christian men and women have a problem with?
Why isn’t all this seen as a good thing?
I just don’t get it.
Please explain why you are against this man.

  1. I am on your side on every count. I have to think it is a race problem pure and simple.

  2. People still listen to the loudest voice. Money still has the loudest voice and carries the biggest stick.

  3. Well done, I’m sure you’re speaking of Pope Francis and not President Obama, am I correct?

    • yes, you are correct, and it was eye opening how many people replied that it just showed what a horrible person Obama is.

  4. correct
